STEP 7
These protocols are for pain in muscles only. They do not address diseases, illnesses or skeletal issues. Chronic pain (long term -years) will take repeated applications and lots of stretching to overcome the ingrained conditioning the body has adapted to. The longer the pain has been there; the longer it will take to erase it. If you can see a professional knowledgeable in Reciprocal Inhibition you will enjoy these same techniques. Go to CE Classes/Past Students on my teaching website: www.inhishandsmassage.com to find therapists who have training in this type of bodywork (primarily in Texas). Applications of warm showers, hot soaking baths (with Epsom salt or white vinegar added)will help ease the post massage aches. Drink plenty of water to flush the toxins out. These techniques allow a tight muscle to return to its normal resting length. It is like a taffy pull, the harder and faster you pull the more it breaks rather than stretch. More light applications are better than a few intense ones.
